Casagrande’s 200

Pic: Rodrigo Guimarães / RF1 A long time ago, in 1979, Stock Car Pro Series made his first ever race at Tarumã motorspeedway. Now, 44 years after, the Racing cars are back to the South of Brazil’s track.

This weekend will b especial not for this; but for 2021’s Champion, Gabriel Casagrande. The young driver will get 200 races in Stock Car at Tarumã.

“Reaching number 200 in Stock Car races is certainly quite special, especially in Tarumã, in Rio Grande do Sul, the track that hosted the first ever Stock Car race back in 1979. I don't think there could be a better occasion. We are going to try to make the best result as possible to continue strong in the championship”, says Casagrande.

Gabriel Casagrande won one of the races at Interlagos, last mounth. In Tarumã, he will drive his car with a 25 kilos ballast, following the regulation. Casagrande is runner-up on this championship with 66 points. The leader is Ricardo Mauricio with 70.
